Barely sixty years after the death of this strong-willed princess, history has forgotten her. She was the daughter of the German Major, Hans Dominik, and Manga Ewengu\u00e9 Marie, the nkukum\u00e9 [queen] of the Sanaga people in Central Cameroon. As a Commander of the Yaound\u00e9 Station, and an architect of colonial \u2018pacification\u2019, Dominik\u2019s name remains forever associated with violence and cruelty in that country where he raged from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"ewa-rteLine\">\u201cThe book Ngono Anne\u2026 a unique story of a very determined woman.
